Summary

This is a full time, 32 hour per week position (11:00p-7:00a) on the Night Shift. 

This position is eligible for a Sign-On Bonus!

  • Current MaineHealth employees not eligible for the sign on bonus. 
  • Must be separated from the MaineHealth system for six months to be eligible.

We are currently seeking a House Supervisor (RN) in Belfast, Maine. The House Supervisor serves as a point of care leader and role model for all acute care areas within the hospital. The House Supervisor must demonstrate a high level of clinical competence, excellent critical thinking skills, and a strong ability to manage patient flow throughout the organization, with emphasis on staff support and customer service. This is a great opportunity for nurses looking to actively apply clinical knowledge and skills within a leadership role.

Position Summary

The House Supervisor provides leadership and assistance to all hospital areas to ensure smooth operations and coordination of patient care for all patient care areas during their assigned shift. The Supervisor is responsible for clinical supervision and deployment of personnel and resources and may supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Unit Secretaries, as well as ancillary staff in the absence of their Director/ Manager. This individual demonstrates exceptional communication skills, clinical skills and judgment in working collaboratively with the Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, Administration, Support Services, Ancillary Services, patients, family and the public to provide safe, quality patient care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    1. Education: Bachelor degree preferred
    2. License/Certifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine. ACLS and MOAB certification within 6 months of hire.
    3. Experience: 3-4 years of progressively more responsible job related experience preferred
    4. Job requires a high level of problem-solving due to the complexity of the situations encountered. Work often requires analysis of problems and development of solutions.
